Advent - Birth for the Powerless

A baby born in a manger is not how any of us would view power. And for the God of the universe to choose this humble entrance into the world reminds us that he has come for the powerless. Jesus came to proclaim good news to the poor and freedom to the captives, and that news is for all of us who are all powerless against the devastating consequences of sin.
