Authentic Religion - The Act of Reclamation
In our final discussion of the book of James, we look at the last two verses that James leaves us with. These verses specifically center on reclamation/pursuit of the brother or sister who has wandered from the way of Jesus. James would have known first hand about this sentiment. He had known Jesus, refused to follow his brother, and then because of his pursuit, repented of his original rejection and found true life in following Him. For James, we don’t tell the Jesus story if we aren’t people who pursue, confront, and speak grace and truth to those who are wandering. The big question is: how do we do that?
