Blessed Intervention - Week 3

Heather Thomas shares from Philippians 2, which helps us understand the significance of Jesus' coming. With the season of Christmas it can be all too easy to forget the significance behind all of our celebrations. It can also be challenging if this season is hard for us to engage with. As we look to the text, it grounds and reorients us to what Jesus is revealing through His arrival. The coming of Jesus reveals what is means to be God and gives a vivid picture of who God is. Jesus' coming also reveals who we’ll become as we live in relation to who He is. Jesus sets aside his status and Jesus takes the form of a servant and enters into humanity. This is a loud declaration of what it means to be God and who God is. He is self-giving and that self-giving nature always moves towards us in love.
