Ghost Stories - Week 2

When Jesus is getting ready to die and be resurrected he says that its much better that the Holy Spirit comes. (John 16) Many folks who read this are confused. Isn't Jesus always better? But Jesus knew something that the people then didn't know and something that we struggle with now. God’s Spirit working in complete partnership with the pursuit of the father and the reconciling work of the son is absolutely what is needed for us to know and experience the real life that the Father has always intended for us and the Jesus the son promised us. Without the Holy Spirit we can’t know and understand just how far the Father has gone to pursue and how significantly the son has sacrificed to reconcile us to God. Without the Spirit of God we can’t grasp that reality.
