Ghost Stories - Week 6

As we close our series the question we’re asking today is, “what is that hope?” What is the thing the Spirit is moving us towards? Where are we going? What does it look like? To answer that question we rooted ourselves in Revelation 21:1-3; 23-27; 21:1-2 and looked at three different pictures. In the first, we saw that the Spirit’s ultimate work is about making real the Kingdom of Jesus through the reconciliation of heaven and earth. Second, we saw that this Kingdom is one of redemption where broken and twisted things are made new. And finally, we saw that the Kingdom of Jesus is one of healing, delight, and wholeness. This is the ultimate work of the Spirit but it’s not just a distant hope because the work of Jesus Kingdom begins right here, in our own lives (Romans 8:22-23)
